Satomi's pygmy seahorse is the smallest known seahorse in the world with maximum length about 13.8 mm and height about 11.5 mm. They are mainly found in Derawan Island coral water. Satomi's pygmy seahorse is a nocturnal species ; very active at midnight. They bodies are brown to pale color with dark spots. Have round trunk. Mainly found in 15-20m in depth. Living as small groups with 3-5 members.
