They can distinguished from other hammerheads by the shape of it's hammer. They feed on crustaceans and cephalopods. Great Hammerheads are rarely attack human. They are active predator. The long stickle shaped dorsal fins and pectoral dins provide stability in water. They have stout bodies. They fished both commercially purposes. Their meat is rarely consumed by human.
