They are species of Hammerhead sharks. They are relatively small animal with a tail. They are harmless species. Winghead Sharks have small grey or gray-brown brow and white underside. They have slender bodies with dorsal fins which stickle shaped. They are found in tropical central and western Indo Pacific shallow coastal water. Winghead Sharks have wing shaped head and have extremely long nostrils. Their circular eyes are located at the forward outer corner of the cephalofoil. They usually hunts close to the sea floor. They feed on small bony fish. Winghead Sharks have five pairs of gill slits . Winghead Sharks are listed as endangered.
