Tasselled Wobbegong is a species of carpet shark. They inhabit in shallow coral reef ocean floor water in Australia, New Guinea and adjacent island. Their bodies are flattened, broad and brown and beige color.. They also have bear long nostrils and large mouth which is positioned ahead of their eyes. The pelvic and pectoral fins are large, rounded and dorsal fins are small. They have been reported to kill and bite humans. They mainly feed on bony fish, crustaceans and cephalopods. The jaws of Tasselled wobbegong's are very powerful and have needle liked teeth. They are known as excellent ambush predators.
