Sei Whale

 


The Sei Whale is the third largest whale in the world. Sei Whales are also known as Pollack Whale. The Sei Whale is a baleen Whale. Their Scientific name is Balaenoptera BorealisIt means "winged Whale". They live in subtropical, temperate and subpolar water around the world. They are found in Atlantic Ocean, India and Pacific Ocean. They will eat about 900 Kg per one day. They are fast swimmers. They can Swim 34 miles per hour. They live  as small groups of 2-5 members. Sei Whales are dark steel grey in color with white marks. They have a slender body with compressed tail. They open their mouths while they are swimming to gulp the water with baleens. They are about 80,000 Sei Whales in the world today.
