Lowcrown Seahorse

This species is found in Australian coastal waters. They love to live near the bottom areas. They are called Lowcrown seahorses because this species has a smooth body with a low coronet. They can grow to a maximum length of up to 12 cm. Lowcrown seahorses mainly feed on crustaceans and copepods. The male carries the eggs in its brood pouch under its tail. Normally, the live depth is about 21 m. They are a dark brownish black color.
